With the weather turning and the clippers out in full flow this week, I’m excited as it means the p2p season is just around the corner!
We have a handful of intended pre-Christmas runners; Reality Bites and Man in the Moon should certainly appear early on, along with Champagne Poppy and Charmond. These two mares feature in this video, having their first away day when we took them to Fred Hutsby’s last week to use Fran and Charlie Poste’s jumping lane, a fantastic facility and I was thrilled with how they got on.
The NH season is hotting up too and over Friday and Saturday we saw some great racing from Chepstow, we look forward to seeing some more of our pre-training graduates over the coming weeks.
It’s all systems go this week getting the last things sorted for our Open Day on Saturday. We are praying there’s an end to this rain and the weather is kind to us, but whatever happens it will still be great fun and we hope everyone enjoys their day. Just as an extra reminder it all kicks off from 11am, Saturday 19th October. There will be free fizz, hot dogs, cakes and hot drinks, come along and meet the horses and have a look around the yard and learn more about what we do. There will also be a raffle with some brilliant prizes and all proceeds going to a great cause, the Injured Jockeys Fund.
