more about me

Gorgeous Gabby is a well-bred mare by Kheleyf (USA) and is a 5 x winner over flat and hurdles. Unfortunately Gabby lost an eye this year in a field accident as she was due to retire. Her trainer Neil Mullholland rated her highly enough to keep her to sell on despite this setback. We understand this may put some people off but we think she is special and in turn just needs that special person to come along. We see two routes for her, either as a promising broodmare or as a lovely riding horse. Gabby is smart and moves well, she is already showing potential to event/RC activities. She isn’t impaired by the loss of her eye, she just needs the right person who won’t feel sorry for her but wants to build a confident partnership and appreciate her for who she is. The first video shows her first two days in the school.

UPDATE 12/11/20: Gabby is showing lots of talent and really wants to please. This week she has been jumping really well in the school, is calm in traffic and has been out having fun and enjoying the XC fences with Claire. The second video shows her schooling this morning.

Claire says

I love Gabby and can guarantee she is the kindest and most willing of mares. I have been so impressed with the talent she is showing and she is a really nice ride – well-balanced and gives me the feeling of ‘I want to go competing’. Gabby is laidback girl and was a good racehorse. She is easy to love and has lots to offer in the right home. She’ll make a nice competiton prospect and lovely horse just for general fun.
